Songs of Return of the Prodigal Playlist
Music is a major theme in Return of the Prodigal. Together with art and food, they compose the “spaces between,” that construct the fabric of life on the Avenue. It was also a huge inspiration for me as I wrote the novel. I frequently wrote with a soundtrack buzzing in my head. My heart broke along with Nick as he opened a bottle of Amarone and punched up a soul-crushing playlist on Vecchio’s vintage jukebox. What was your favorite song-related scene?
